High-pressure autohydrolysis process of wheat straw for cellulose recovery and subsequent use in PBAT composites preparation

The effect of autohydrolysis (AH) temperature (165 °C, 195 225 °C) on the structure, purity, and recovery yield cellulose residue isolated after additional alkaline bleaching steps from wheat straw, was investigated. processes were quantified for mass yields in different antioxidants sugars release during AH. AH at °C allowed highest (83.5%) with purity (∼70%) structure similar to other residues. FTIR XRD analyses showed straw (SC) a type II polymorphism crystallinity index increasing temperature. SC obtained end entire fractionation process (SC-195 starting residue-195 tested as reinforcing agent percentage (0, 2 5% by weight) poly(butylene adipate- co -terephthalate) (PBAT) films.
